Diese Asana ist kühlend und vor allem beruhigend, weil es die Energie vom Kopf zum Oberkörper leitet.
Sie fördert die Verdauung und unseren Stoffwechsel und stimuliert die inneren Organe. Außerdem bewirkt diese Asana eine Kräftigung der vorderen und äußeren Oberschenkelmuskulatur. Die innere und hintere Oberschenkelmuskulatur wird gedehnt. Zudem wird die Zirkulation in der Hüfte und in den Sexualorganen angeregt. Das Becken wird gut durchblutet, was sich lindernd auf Ischiasprobleme und Menstruationsbeschwerden auswirken kann.

Übe anfangs mit langem Rücken, auch wenn die Vorbeuge dann nur ganz „klein“ ist. Erst im Laufe der Zeit vertiefen! Nur üben bei gesunder Wirbelsäule! Länge im Nacken! Lege Dir Deine Hilfsmittel zurecht (Yogagurt, Polster, Blöcke)
Ausrichtung
Setz dich in eine weite Grätsche, die Beine aktivieren
Variante: mit Sitzkissen, Decke
Die Wirbelsäule über die Krone des Kopfes lang ziehen
Das Becken und den Rücken aufrichten
Die Arme bei der Einatmung nach oben strecken
Beuge dich bei der Ausatmung mit geradem Rücken nach vorne und setze deine Hände am Boden ab. Das Steißbein dabei nach hinten schieben, Schambein bleibt Richtung Nabel aufgerichtet
Variante Fortgeschritten: Hände zu den Zehen führen
Variante Anfänger: Hände auf Blöcken ablegen
In der Einatmung nochmals lang ziehen und in der Ausatmung das Brustbein Richtung Boden bringen.
Nur soweit, wie der Rücken lang bleiben kann. Ein-und Ausatmen
Beine aktivieren, Bauchnabel leicht zur Wirbelsäule ziehen, langsam wieder aufrichten
